The American WInd Energy Association has some good info. Here is the

You can check the status of existing projects and those under
construction–location, developer and size. Rough calculations tell
me that wind in IA produces enough electricity for ~300k- households
now, and will capacity could double in ’09. As a quick rule of thumb,
each Megawatt (MW, the rating capacity in size of project) yields
enough power for ~200 households.
