THE PROBLEM WITH FOOTBALL
Gregory/ 36-45
Football injuries have been strongly correlated with brain injury , depression, migraines, spinal problems, paralysis and related.
Two things emerged from this very long article. One, uniforms must be more secure, padded, and the helmet should be even more reinforced.
Two, the game must be changed so that head butting is severely penalized and the line of scrimmage starts with stand up.
The game will still be very exciting because of the runs and those long passes that are caught at the last minute of the game.

THE ECONOMIST (2010) 1/30/
GLOBAL SWAP SHOPS E-5
From FACEBOOK TO E-BAY, have become global and international in
scope. It has become such a tremendous force that globalization in this
respect appears to be both profitable and politically popular. The other wing of globalization where much of the work is outsourced to cheaper
countries is increasingly unpopular.
TOMBOYS (59)
Qatar is outraged with women. They are boyats. They have short hair, wear jeans, and boots or tennis shoes. What to do with these young girls? Some say kill them others say put them in mental hospitals. The United Arab Republic feels the same way. The traditionalists don’t like it and they are trying to kill the movement. Boyats when dressed up can wear long hairpieces so you can’t tell when a young woman is a girl or a boy. This is an outrage.
Further, there is an enemy. It is western cultures including Yanks who have such women on television. That’s the problem and it is hard to shut down the technology.
REVERSING INEQUALITY (66)
With the rise of globalization comes increasing inequality to between the rich and poor. Generally speaking, the rise of a middle class country according to the research cited here. The equality generates better health and happiness. What has become more equal is among sexes and ethnicities. The biggest difference is in wealth not as much as with income. So those that have stored up their estates can pass that on to
the next generation.
However, the social democratic state may function in the future to
help the very poor by a trade off of security for fecundity. Can a poor person trade having many children to having one? Can that child get improved one on one tutoring and related? That is the big question.
