PSYCHOLOGY AND EDUCATION: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY
JOURNAL
Joel C. Snell, Associate Editor
Kirkwood College
ON THE WEB
Our journal is now on the web. It has been designed and built by BrockMartin
Associates. Its president is also a webmaster-designer for the University
of Iowa
Foundation (economic outreach and institutional advancement.) Our URL
is PSYCHOLOGYANDEDUCATION.NET
It is so new that the best way to get to it is to go to GOOGLE
and key in our URL. GOOGLE will direct you to our website. Other avenues
to the site will be easier in the future as the website ”spiders”
permeate cyberspace.
WEBSITE
Once you are with us on the internet, you will recognize that we have
provided you with an easy to navigate operation that provide the names
and addresses of the editors, editorial board, and table of contents
of our most current issue. Each individual article is abstracted with
a click of the mouse, so you can get it and easily print it.
Other features include the publication format and requirements, submission
and subscription information, and a free download of Adobe-Acrobat.
Our periodical as usual will also be reproduced in the printed abstracts
available since the beginning of the journal. Former abstracts with
table of contents are also provided since the onset of our name change.
In other words, the website is quite complete and your article is not
only available to the readers of the printed edition, but to millions
of others who may come to the site.
ON DEMAND PUBLISHING
We are now one of the first journals to provide ON DEMAND publishing.
If you have a manuscript of a book, doctoral dissertation, monograph,
speech or related, you can now have an e-book that is viewed by numerous
people on the net. Readers who want a full printed copy can merely hit
the print button and your book is in their library. They can also save
the entire text in their computer.
Importantly, this has the PSYCHOLOGY and EDUCATION acceptance, endorsement,
and distribution. If we accept the book and it’s approval from
the editorial board, you must send with the printed version and a diskette
for publication. Pagination fees are modest, and the writer has a refereed
book that is potentially readable to millions of people. You must also
obtain the copyright. This is some thing may reference librarians can
access for you.
The author must obtain the copyright and is liable for any lawsuits
from perceived distortions by a litigant.
Relative to print book publishers, PSYCHOLOGY and EDUCATION is easy
to produce, distribute, and is likely to have a wider readership.
WEBMASTER
Individuals can also contact me with the click of the “webmaster”
logo. I act as the coordinator, and will send information to the Webmaster,
editor or associate editor.
Depending on the question, I may easily answer it and provide the necessary
information dealing with the various issues asked by readers and published
writers.
CHANGES
There have been a number of changes here at the journal that has been
initiated in the last few years as we begin the 21st century. We want
to welcome you to cyberspace and our place on the Internet.
