super bowl 40: the stones

Half time this year was not controversial. It was great. The Rolling Stones followed in the tradition of Paul McCarthy, The Beach Boys and U2. They sang START ME UP followed by THEME FROM WINDOWS 95 and their all time hit SATISFACTION. The four were dressed in black.

There was also a base player and key man. Mick Jagger did all the vocals alone.

The stage was shaped by a laughing mouth which is the logo for one of the best bands in the world.

A crowd of average Americans sang and clapped along.

The steelers beat the seahawks. A great warm up by Stevie Wonder and group did all of his top numbers. This is appropriate for Motown in which the game was played.

Super bowl day started at 1 pm CST and finished around 9pm. This was Super Bowl 40. The first Super bowl was just yesterday. There was a Joe Namath montage. Oh, Brown Sugar!
