YOU CAN BUY HAPPINESS
THE WEEK (2008) APRIL 11,
22/ Want to buy happiness? Ultimately it can’t be done, however the closest thing to this is giving your money or other material possessions to another. The giving is not coerced or expected. It comes as a surprise to others when you do it. Research protocols are discussed.
22/ Mice can be alive, not breathing or aging. The research is discussed and applications to humans are applied.
22/Fish can be trained to come home, back to their original nest in a study in Massachusetts.
22/ When girls are hyperactive, they suffer more stigmas and punishment than males who are expected to be that way.
22/Haiving belly fat is correlated with earlier onset of Alzheimer’s.
19/ Newspapers are dying off with some selected exceptions. With the web and other electronic media, surely we have more news. NO. Many replicate and or spin the already existing news, thus the hard part of finding out the real news gets harder and harder to find. The easiest is to report what business or government has in the way of formal announcements that are printed. These documents may conceal more than they reveal.
BUSINESS WEEK (2008) April 7,
90/91
New little cars are heading for the states. The BMW CLEVER is a three wheel one person car and ULTRAMOTOR has 2 wheels and is based on an electric motor. However the two that seem to get the most coverage is the SMART FORTWO, the SMART CAR that gets 41 miles a gallon and the TOYOTA I Q. It gets 60miles per gallon and has room for 3 adults and 1 child. It is only slightly longer than the SMART CAR. Its first release is for Europe and Japan.
78/ ROBERTS/ CHINA have the blues. Costs are going up and there are yet cheater countries to send products.
40-49/ SUITE SCAM
You are about to buy or invest in some large too good to be true financial instrument. However, you want to see for yourself. You go to the seller and there in an upscale Manhattan/ New York City suite is a busy secretary and one or two other customers waiting for you to finish your discussion about investments in the back of the two room suite. The seller’s office is fantastic and he is assuring you that you are on the right track. So you invest and lose your shirt. Why? It is all a pretense, the secretary and other customers are in on the scam. What has happened is all kinds of fraudulent deals are being done there at a cost of $100.00 a month. With 50 to 60 scammers all using the same address and office, it connotes legitimacy that does not exist. You lose your money.
