WOES CAUSED BY NO FLY-LIST

Washington Post, (2004) “Kennedy tells of travel woes caused by’ no-fly’ list” THE GAZETTE, 8/20, 6a.

Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy has trouble getting on an airplane. This is something he has been doing for 42 years as commutes from Washington D.C. to his home state of Massachusetts. By March of this year, the trouble started. He can’t get on an airplane without numerous delays. His problem? Because T. Kennedy has been used as an alias for a terrorist.

This issue issued surfaced during a senate judiciary committee hearing. It took 3 weeks before Senator Kennedy was finally “cleared” from the no-fly list.

Ordinary citizens should expect longer waits.
