For many blue collar conservatives, voting for the Right may mean voting to lose your job. The Republican Party and the Religious Right have wedded themselves to corporate laissez faire capitalism. With Neo-Conservatives in control, middle income social conservatives may be voting that their sons and daughter go to war unnecessarily and also may find themselves out of work.

The GOP is now staunchly free market and internationalist in flavor. Buchanan voices his opposition.

With a partial change in agenda, he may find that he has counter parts in the Democratic Party. The Democrats now look with caution to entry into war and favor some protections on goods to save jobs.
