Over 10 years ago, the BELL CURVE was a big seller. Blacks are naturally inferior. Although the author has since said, it was" no big deal" (C-Span), much has been said. First, Africans test lower world wide. Second, nearly all blacks were enslaved in the last 1500 years. Third, slavery has an impact on intellect. Fourth, when cognitive blacks continued to think about the big issues, it caused anxiety.

Fifth, when the anxiety continued, it lowered their immune system response and they were more likely to die than procreate. Sixth, those that survived temporarily continued on the with non-cognitive activities and ancestors. Seventh, smart blacks were a threat to society and could be killed. Eighth, we are now at a place where cognition can begin to increase. In the last 20 years, female blacks have reduced the spread between white and blacks to 10 points. That is up from

a spread of 15 points.

A study at the University of New Amsterdam, suggests that unconscious decision works best in decision making. Intellect though helpful in the long run also complicates reality and thus works against those in very stressful situations like slavery. Further, blacks originated in areas where food could not be stored and stayed in hunting and gathering societies. Those in sections of the world that could store food , according to Diamond (2005) were the quickest to go to various forms of agriculture (pastoral, hoe, and plow culture) improve their intellect and ability to conquer and enslave others. They were the first to get guns, steel, and germs. The survivor could then more easily kill and/or enslave.

As gangs kill each other, those out of harms way , cognition should increase for those where intervention and security allow the intellect to grow. It has really only been since the 1970's that blacks have had more chances to grow. However, we are very far from prejudice, stigma, and discrimination. It is still stressful for blacks and only time and generations of cognitive surroundings and birthing will increase black intellect. It has happened already and as environment and genetics favor intellect, will the increases become sizable. This is my hypothesis. Do you want to comment?
