This vice president was one of the most powerful vice-presidents in the country. Internationally, he exuded power. Perhaps, he is the man behind the Iraq war. His secret world is now even more secret. He came into office, invited the top brass of the energy companies to the white house and pulled the shades down. We still don't know what happened. As time progressed, he found himself in not only in a secret world but a solitary one. He introduced the president to Washington, made policy, commanded 9/11, and as policies began not to bear fruit found himself alone. The staffs of the president and the vice president no longer mingle. He finally accidentally shot another and it took 36 hours for the president to hear from his vice president. It took days before the vice president went over to FOX NEWS and was fairly interviewed by Britt Hume. He was sad by the accident, but pleased with his relationship with the press. With his vita nearly complete, he appears to make his own schedule and agenda. An elaborate secret service and medical team follow him and he appears before friendly audiences periodically. That appears to be it. There is another 1100 days to go before this administration exits. |
