THE FUTURE OF ENERGY

THE FUTURE OF ENERGY

U.S NEWS AND WORLD REPORT (2010) APRIL,

ROMM, 24

Romm indicates that the East Anglia/ Climate gate fraud was one study among many. The others are legit and most indicate that the climate is changing due to

global warming. However, there is no longer a consensus. We will have to see what the future brings. He cites numerous sources.

REALITY CHECK: THE POWERS THAT BE

OIL

We know that oil is finite and the peak (Hobart's peak) has passed or has it? The demand for oil in the west has seemed to peak, but in the east more is needed.

COAL

Coal is the most abundant in the USA and the dirtiest. Technology in Germany has remade coal into a viable green option. However, the cost is 50% more. There are also coal technology to direct the heat into the ground. Will that happen everywhere? No, one can say.

NATURAL GAS

It is abundant and it is affordable. However, most money is going somewhere else.

SOLAR

It should be competitive by 2015. At that time, most everything including price should be great for the sunny states. At this time, solar is still a small part of the energy source in the USA.

WIND

By 2030 Wind can generate 20% of the power needed in the USA.

NUCLEAR

It's back, but it is expensive to build. Two more plants have been funded. All totaled, there is 29 plants getting ready to provide power.

FUSION

It is in the experimental stages, however if fully developed it could provide a lot of clean  useful energy.

HYDROGEN

There are problems in developing and refining hydrogen, although it is still be

revised by general motors.

WAVE

This is power from the ocean. It is estimated that it could provide 6.5% of the

energy needed.

FOORHARAH/10

Inflation is a myth in the west. China is experiencing it, but the west has been hurt so bad that most households have held back their purchases.  Offices and rent have declined.

OBERTHALER/12

As a vet, he knows when dogs are going to die. Thus they are euthanized and animal companions leave humans in tears. However, in human medicine, one of the largest costs is keeping people alive who are probably going to die. So with the consent of the family, humans that are dying should be put on pain meds. All the heroic technology is not only costly, but questionable. This is not active euthanasia for humans. Rather, they live out the rest of their life without pain and

in the comfort of a hospice or at home.

FOORHAR AND LIU/37-39

China is growing so rapidly that it is dealing with a bubble and inflation. However, their dollar is becoming more interspersed with the market than the U.S. dollar.

It is creating its own IMF. It now sells more clean energy cars than the USA and is

incredibly rich.

It has become nationalistic. Now please read this twice. It has an authoritarian government with a growing private economy. That makes it command capitalism.

Command capitalism is really fascism. However, the country still claims to be

Communist which is command socialism.  Now read that again. When China grows by leaps and bounds, people may start wanting more freedom, but they

probably won't get it. They will get the Women's movement, sex revolution, and other related activities. However, all that can be absorbed in their fascist system that they call communism.
