THE DAY AMERICA ALMOST BLEW UP

If you were born or lived during November 1983, something catastrophic and horrendous

almost happened. Millions of people would be dead all over the world and you  may have been one of them. Or, you may have not been created, because your mom and dad would have been dead. Much of the world would be radioactive dust. The closest to this scenario, was the movie that ironically came out in 83' called the DAY AFTER.

However let's set the stage for the build up to the day that America could have gone up in flames..After World War II, there was a conference at Yalta. There FDR, Churchill, and Stalin, essentially divided up Europe. FDR was dying and he knew that Yanks were in no mood for more war. Churchill and Stalin may have felt the same way. All that is said here is subject to numerous interpretations and so all we can say is that the Yalta conference made division in Europe and related areas.

This was the beginning of the COLD WAR. As opposed to the HOT WAR of World War II. It was a war of spying and counter spying, building of the Berlin wall and the creation

of the IRON CURTAIN. In the meantime, what was then called THE SOVIETS, versus

USA and NATO which included the United Kingdom were involved.There are even today numerous nuclear war heads and military support. At that time, we suffered through numerous regional wars including Korea and Vietnam.

In the early 60's, Kennedy made a persuasive argument that missiles were being

located in Cuba. Kennedy said that this can not happen and in the CUBAN MISSLE CRISIS, for about 7 to 10 days, incredible tension emerged among Americans. What

JFK and his brother RFK talked the Russians to back down. The trade was the removal of old and dated Jupiter missiles in Turkey and Russia would remove the missiles in Cuba.

Few knew that we gave up the Jupiters, but it was excellent agitprop for the USA.

Kennedy was/ and is seen as a hero, because he could put a lid on some of his advisors who wanted to attack Cuba, regardless of the circumstances.

Kennedy and McNamara created MAD. That means Mutually Assured Destruction with Russia. This means that there would rough parity and that both sides did not have FIRST STRIKE capability which means that both would suffer horrendous huge loses from nuclear .FIRST STRIKE means that one side could win.

Following in this tradition, Nixon and Kissinger created DETENTE. This meant roughly the same thing as MAD discussed above. Thus, when Reagan was president

(1980-1988) he was strongly influenced according to this article by

Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. They said in so many words, that

FIRST STRIKE could be successful. In other words, we could sneak attack in a preemptive strike against Russia and win without causing much or any damage to the

United States.

At that time, the strategy was to dramatically increase building nuclear weapons and the creation of STAR WARS a missile shield against incoming nuclear strikes from Russia.

Further, Russia would be bankrupt by having to build more missiles and their

own STAR WARS or ABM's.

Further, to add to the build up and star wars, President Reagan maintained that

the Soviets were evil. This did not mean just the leaders or the system of organization of the economic order called command socialism, but in the souls of the average

Russian.

This alarmed the Soviets as they had workable relationships with previous presidents

of the USA. Further, the soviets were not as rich and strong as described by the CIA. So the Russians were very insecure. During 1983, the Reagan administration was organizing an exercise AS IF there would be a pre-emptive attack on Russia. Thus the Soviets

began preparing for wars and the nuclear missiles were positioned to be

launch along with military and tanks.

Reagan was unaware that he was inadvertently creating a massive high mortality

WORLD WAR III. Others could see that the original Neo Cons (Rumsfeld,

Perle, and Cheney) were creating without realizing it an Armageddon.

To stop this, Bud McFarlane who would later take a bottle of Valium and survived the suicide attempt in a later scandal, started the beginning of the survival of the world.

He requested that Reagan would stay away from the meetings during the exercises of a missile launch against Russia. By the skin of our teeth. McFarlane saved us all.

When Reagan on the right day at the right time made a call to Russia indicating that we were NOT going to attack. Within hours, Russia stood down. A nuclear halucost

would not occur.

After that President Reagan had DIRECT talks with soviet leaders. In the mean time,

Russia began to move from what Americans called COMMUNISM to first a democratic form of capitalism to a democratic form of fascism. Reagan is credited with

making Russians to switch from Communism to capitalism. However, like the Yalta

conference, this is subject to debate, because Russia was going broke anyway. Perhaps, one could say hastened the change. It is a horrible example that has not been revealed until this time. Incidentally, the excercise of a simulated war was called ABLE ARCHER. The Soviets

saw this exercise as a phony disguise for real war. They went to full alert. Americans

remained in ignorant bliss to go ahead with their Thanksgiving planning.

Later, the Cold War would fall and the rise of Radical Islam took it's place. Since 1965,

we have been in 15 wars and incursions.
