Twelve women and men will have their burned and disfigured face covered with new faces. The faces like many other tissues and organs have been harvested from the dead.
The faces will not look the same because the skin tissue will be stretched in different ways than the former user.

The fear is that the new face will be rejected or too tight to stay on the face of the burn or accident victim.

If successful, this will bring new hope to people who are recluses from society. Their disfigurement keeps them out of mainstream venues. The surgery takes about 8 hours.
