SPAM!! THE WEEK (2007) 2/23
__________(13) We are losing the battle against spam. For inadvertent legal reasons, spam is more powerful than ever, technologically there are new tricks spammers are using to cut costs. So, what can you do? The biggest is don't open e-mail that appears to be spam. New spam now comes in packages that appear not to be what they portend. However, it is better to accidentally lose some one than accept the spam. Let's face it spam sells various form of junk. That includes porn, penis extenders, illegal meds," good" land or investment deals, watches that may or may not work, plus a hundred or thousand more things. If you open a spam e-mail, you get viruses. Those viruses hide in your system, than when you send an e-mail to a friend or colleague, the viruses go with it. Indirectly, you are sending spam to others and helping the spammers get their message out. So you help them cut costs. Roughly, it takes 3 to 5 minutes a day to get rid of all the spam until the next day. Go away for a week and you have an incredible amount of spam. __________(14) Fuentes Who cares what Hillary wears on the campaign trail? Do journalists do the same for the males? Most of them show up in a blue suit. So cut the crap. ___________(19) Iraq was a war that was sold to the public. How did that sales job happen? According to THE WEEK and drawing upon THE NEW YORK TIMES, NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE, NEW YORK SUN, AND THE NATION, here is what happened. Vice President Cheney dispatched DOUGLAS FEITH to the CIA. Every time that agency said that there was no relationship between Saddam and Al Qaida, Under Secretary of State FEITH reviewed the news and came to the opposite conclusion. Feith was told to come to a conclusion that would justify the war. By the way, there was a possible justification, but not a probable one. Thus, we went to war. There is so much more but that is the core of the start of the campaign to win the hearts and minds of the public here in the states.Read about it later. TIME(2007) 2/19 PATTERSON (44) Obama is being discriminated by the Black Community. He may not be black, but then what is he? White? Non-Black? Halle Berry is considered black although she is bi-racial white. She also grew up in an all white neighborhoods, her story relative to Obama is about the same. There appears to be a racial barrier emerging in the black community. By the way 21% of the visibly white community is .....black. They are bi-racials, quadroons, octoroons, 16's and one droppers. So, Obama is non-black to the black community or some in the black community and black in the white community. Go figure. CLOUD (56) We appear to be happier when we just get married or we are just about to get divorced. We seemed to be hard wired to serial monogamy. However, all of this is no good for the kids. Americans are waiting longer to get married, that is probably a good thing. MCCLAUGHLIN (75) There is something new. 'Collasipsibles" They are tiny bikes that fold up and go into the closet in your city apartment. Incredible. THE ECONOMIST (2007) 2/10

So, put skid row folks in an area where there are missionaries, and places to sleep and eat. Then put them in big warehouses, where they stay for part of the day. Demand that they do work or that they must keep moving in dispersed areas. __________(41) Watch out if you are in Japan. If for any reason the coppers want you, you get arrested and 95% go right to jail. What to do? Contact the American embassy. Then say you are guilty, take the punishment, which is less if you confess, then get out of the country. If your innocent, it is much, much better to confess. __________(42) Singapore is a wealthy and a great welfare state. Crime is low. However, it is best to go directly home after work. _________(57) What should be done with the House of Lords in the UK? There are more of them than in the House of Commons. When the begin a session, they holler at each other. They are appointed ( some say if they pay enough money) and they get a title. They are in their position for the rest of their lives. So what are the Lords for? Probably advising, that is about it. ________(83-86) SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY *Roses and other flowers can be created in many different colors.* A program to make meds safer for children is up for review.
