SECRET LOVE OF TEEN AGE BOYS & OTHER ITEMS

A new study of teen age boys suggests that there is more to them than spreading sperm. They actually fall in love. Using standard research protocols, 3 female sociologists interviewed males with special random samples and found that teen boys are as romantic as the girls. This applies to at least 75% and or more. They fantasize the relationship, confide their secrets to the girls, and look to them at times for guidance. This is not the stereotype of males. In other words, they are nice.

There is a small segment of 15 to 25% that want strictly sex. They copulate and forget the women in their lives. On the other hand , males do not talk to other males in romantic terms. They erect a facade of toughness and thus women see the exteriors. The young coeds must know that  this is the world of males meaning cold and mean.

In evolutionary psychology, this could mean that most males are beta males. They do not have the temperament or strength to be an alpha. Thus, they can afford to be more emotional with their girl friend and be monogamous. They can also be more ethical.

Alphas need to fight and continue their struggle to the top and fight to remain there. Further, in tough neighborhoods, even betas must provide some exterior to keep from being exploited.

Israel is no longer invincible. An overwhelming majority of the population no longer want the prime minister in office. Further, the mystique is gone so they need more weapons and it appears that there shall be more wars. Further, when Israel strikes it will be more massive.. The Lebanon war is the demarcation of a new Israel, where both Labor and Likud are united in terms of their

treatment of neighbors. They must trust no one.

There appears to be a myth about homework in the lower and middle grades. The more homework the better the student. Now, most studies indicate that not to be the case. There is a limit. It can also kill creativity. On the other hand, upper levels of high school and college, home work appears to help students.

9/ Who killed the newspaper? The internet is doing so and newspapers are at a loss in terms of what to do. They survived the radio, movie tone, and television, and yet the internet is a fearsome creature. Should they produce small papers that are available in public places for free and rely on the advertisement? Should they have a big web site with back up material from the paper. Should they format the paper to attract teens? Stay tuned.

55-56/ The housing bust may trigger a large depression in the USA .Americans could lose the wealth effect (my house is gaining in price, therefore I can spend.) Further, Americans who have

ARMS on their loans could collapse, and last those who took a second on their mortgage could be in for a difficult time.

Netherlands may have the answer for New Orleans. The Scandinavian country is all underwater and thus they have created walls with surge protectors. When a big wave comes the walls do their job, but technology opens the gate so that some water is distributed elsewhere. They have not been flooded since the 50's. Where that water goes in the Netherlands was not described. The U.S. Army Corps  of Engineers has made contracts with a Dutch company.

Poverty is still with us. Bush didn't do much to help the poor since Katrina. After a few photo-op's, it was back to the usual.

False confessions are quite common. About 5% of all cases have false confessors. The Lindbergh

baby generated 200 confessors who did not do the crime. Most crimes are now reported without certain key details so that when false confessors comes to the police station, they usually fumble on those certain kept secrets.
