It could be a time to retire, but Carter, Bush 41, and Clinton are out there doing things that not only help their image, but generally benefit the common good. For years, Carter has been involved in numerous HABITATS FOR HUMMANITY and both Bush and Clinton have been working for the relief of KATRINA and TSUNAMI RELIEF.

This appears to be somewhat new, but the perhaps the most important contributor of the first half of the 20th century is President Herbert Hoover. His accomplishments in that area are unparalleled.
