Then this was grafted onto silicon electrodes. Then the new “wiring” was used to fly a simulated F-22 fighter jet. The practical application is to have hybrid robots drive fighter planes into dangerous areas where pilots are likely to die. Thus, attrition of soldiers is lessened.
