RENT-A- DAD

Families adapt to the current society of which they exist. Further, the family also contributes to or slows down some of the changes in society. In other words, the big long term and overused words of “family” and “society” interact with each other.

TIME magazine this week indicated that the latest birth rate is 4 out of 10 babies are born to single mothers. The sperm guy may be gone or right with her when she is birthing. Now we jump to the statistics about single parent kids. In terms of numerous pathologies, single parent kids don’t do so well.

In this last paragraph, I made all kinds of jumps and leaps of faith about what is meant by a child raised by a single parent. As an example a 12 year old boy is raised by his mom as

Mom and Dad divorce. Or, Dad dies in an auto accident. Further, some single parent kids it is a statistic that truly does not describe as much as we want. As an example, a 12 year old boy raised by a mom in isolation from others like neighbors and friends and in a high crime neighborhood struggles to do a good job. Now let’s compare his long lost twin. Mom gave him for adoption. She did not believe that she could raise 2 kids alone.

So the twin is raised in a family where there is a Mom and Dad dies suddenly from unexpected causes. This Mom moves in with an extended family and the child grows up in a “safe” neighborhood. The extended family thinks this baby is the best thing since bake bread. He is adored but not spoiled. Unknowingly, they do all the right things.

The first single parent may need a RENT-A-DAD a lot more than the second family.

At the moment and as this is written, rent a dad is not in operation on a large commercial level. What usually happens is the police show up and try to make things better, because the son is now bigger than the Mother and she has lost control of him to many things.

However, the police consider these necessary, but nuisance calls. In comes RENT-A-DAD, their job is to keep the peace and scare the kid until he is speechless or, if it is a daughter, he must reply to in your face insults. Unfortunately, RENT-A- DAD also may come to the house when both parents are there, but the kid is so big that he can beat up dad or beat up both parents in minutes.

To keep costs low, RENT-A DAD representative has a day job. However, some one is always ready to be able to get to the house and or apartment. Further, he has spent 2 week ends in a course certified and or taught by the Police. Half the conflict is social psychological. The male or female must look formidable. Again, a small person with tremendous mixed martial skills, he does not look tough, but is an incredible force, may not do.

The week end class, say absolutely what these commercial dads can and can not do. It may mean that the police should be called. Further, former kids who were a pain in the

Back Pockets, are encouraged later in life to join and get paid. They may make excellent commercial dads.

Further, soft power is also so important. In other words, the commercial dad who shows up and is big, heavy, and tough looking can also speak softly. There are a hundred and one things for that the commercial dad that he may carry and may use for communication. Further, the obnoxious kid may be moved from the house and enter a half way house and/or join a 12 step program.

In other words, RENT-A-DADS, replace the extended family that is still with us, but not as apparent. Further, the police generally have more important things to do if they have to deal with a mouthy child.

And so this or something like it may emerge soon in your latest neighborhood or they may be just down the road.
