The Hooker in us all 19/
In an Ohio State survey over a quarter of the students males indicated that they gave gifts in hopes that they would have sex. Nearly one in five females did the same thing. In the general population, the researchers believe that these figures are higher.
Girls like both cars and dolls and boys like cars. In a survey of Yerkes monkeys, the findings indicate that females have a broader range of interests.
Is free will a myth? In brain scans, students unconsciously wanted to press one button over another before they consciously made a decision. This does not completely settle the issue but suggests we have less free will than we thought. Think of it like philosophers. Hard indeterminism means absolute free will. Soft in determinism means that we make choices but that there are some internal or external stimuli that gently nudge us one way or another. Soft determinism means that internal or external stimuli gently pushes us toward an activity over another. Hard determinism means that we don’t have have mujch choice at all.
There is an a 99.7 % chance of another earthquake in southern California. With a magnitude of 6.7 or higher.
The Co-founder of Chaos theory dies 35/
Edward Lorenz noticed that back in 1961, that when he used his wind pattern simulator he could drastically change the wind pattern. How? He barely rounded up the numerical character from of .056 from .056127 that dramatic changes were made. He published his results in a small meteorological journal without notice. By 1972, he gave his findings at a much larger academic meeting and it made headlines. The small micro change that he Made , he called a BUTTERFLY. Since then, CHAOS THEORY is one of the major contribution to science in the 20th century. For more, see TIME 5/5 2008: in MILESTONES.

The dollar
How strong should the dollar be? If we keep going like we are now as the dollar keeps shrinking, there comes a tipping point. Then, the spot market gets spooked and there is a run on the dollar. We lose here at home. There is a big depression or runaway inflation.
On the other hand, the shrinking dollar FOR A WHILE gives us a chance to sell more exports. If the dollar becomes stronger too fast, we are in trouble, but it eventually needs to be stronger.
Using the median of March 1973, the dollar was the strongest after Volker the Fed manager up the interest rate very high and the rate was 40% over the median (1985). Right now, the dollar is 65% of the median in 2006. For the purposes of this equation, the median is 100%.

DARMAN// CLINTON THE NATURAL NO MORE
Former president Bill Clinton is off his game. He has trouble playing second fiddle, but if he is in the mainstream he makes gaffes and other social blunders. The author describes numerous sociological problems which I happen to agree with however he overlooks one. That is the following. Clinton is a pump head. After by-pass heart surgery, there is very mild brain damage, and the latest technology can reduce it. However, both Clinton and Vice President Chenney had heart surgery years ago. So? I am a pump head too and perhaps I know a little about it.
After my surgery, I had trouble spelling, remembering names, and have more social skills problems. That appears to be some of Clinton’s problems. If you want more information, just put PUMP HEADS into a search engine and you will know what I mean.
