P. 23 Large forces may bring down non-democracies. If you protest and there is 1 person you are shot. If there are a few of you, then you die. If millions call in sick, the country shuts down. Sometimes that works to bring about democracies. Sometimes it does not. The history of this movement  is discussed. (A RAINBOW OF REVOLUTIONS)

P.12 Omega 3 is good for you. It is good for the heart,the joints, and the kids that are growing in the mother and when they grow up. It is correlated with smart social children.(FOOD FOR THOUGHT.)

P.34 Coleman was guilty according to the matching DNA. Who is that a victory for? It is mixed.

What it does suggest is that DNA really clears the air. All the other sources such as lie detectors

and related are good but not great. They still have flaws. DNA is 99% accurate. Coleman was extremely persuasive when he indicated that he did not kill the victim. Perhaps, he believed it himself or was an extreme psychopath. Not only that but he was WHITE and he didn't look the part of a KILLER. So he was a believable liar.

P.40 Remember the hype about how Chile has a great retirement system where you can invest in the stock market and make a killing? It didn't work. About 50% got such bad returns that it is as if they didn't save for retirement. The new prime minister wants to change the system back to the defined pension system that the military families have. (DOING IT HER WAY.)

P. 45 Israel now has a clear signal that it finish building the wall, have most every adult carry a gun, and gradually out migrate Palestinians who live inside the wall with over the market value on their property. This gives Israel a chance to survive. The elected Hamas government wants to destroy Israel, so any of its past sins of defense or inappropriate violence is over. Palestinians now have more land than ever. They should be able to reconstruct their country. Other Arab-Muslim countries should also help them. Syria should be a big supporter. Palestine deserves support from like minded neighbors who also want to build their own nations and develop their own societies by their values.(HAMAS AHOY)

P.53 Recidivist rates in the UK are simi liar to other countries. After 2 years outside of a prison detention, 80% Vehicle thieves and nearly 80% of domestic home burglars repeat their crimes.All crimes is 60%.(THE END OF INNOCENCE)

P. 57 Advertising is suffering. So is newspapers and television. What is emerging is the new media.

That includes Internet, tabloid news, subscription radio, video games, DVD's and CD's. Must include ipods and blackberries. So? Call on the Public Relations people. Their job is to get product placement in ANY MEDIA.They want to create buzz with stories that include new stars. Have columnist that they can rent to do stories. Any non-invasive strategy to get people talking about a product.(DO WE HAVE A STORY FOR YOU.)

P. 100 Switzerland is falling behind. It has the weakest dollar and a declining productivity. Surely this country should do well because it is so conservative. Women just got the vote recently in state elections .There biggest problem(s) is innovation and number of students who don't go to college.

P. 102 The CEO's of America's corporations make twice what the next country pays. It is also

550 times greater than the average worker. The least paid CEO's come from the most productive countries: India and China. (EXECUTIVE PAY.)
