NAFTA was implemented on January 1, 1994. President Clinton and the Republican congress passed the trade deal between U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Now looking back to

1994 to date, it has been a success for elites and businesses. The majority of all 3 countries has mixed feelings about the trade deal and has since turned down other trade agreements.

In spite of Ricardo’s theory of free trade, the diminishment of trade does not benefit both countries when the transition can be made so fast from one country to another.

On a related topic, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, the conservative periodical of the USA notes that real wages for most workers has gone up 1% since 1979 even though productivity during that same time has risen 60% Americans work harder than any other country even including Japan. There has been nothing like a social or natural catastrophe to flush capital to the top 20%. The hollowing of the middle has been done with outsourcing, off shoring and firing at will. Elite have worked hard to destroy the workfare state and labor movement.  In the future, do you want a land of less inequality or a rich man’s utopia?

MOST SMALL BUSINESSES FAIL BECAUSE THE INVESTOR IS TOO OVERCONFIDENT.

On the other hand, broadcast television is not doing so well. They keep fading away, but don’t really do so. They keep diminishing, but most of the population keeps watching it. So it is not like radio when television came along. This is more gradual.
