JANE FONDA AGAIN APOLOGIZES TO AMERICAN GI
Tyranangiel, Josh (2005) Being Jane, TIME, 4/11, p. 50-59
In her latest book, Fonda once again apologizes for conduct of going to North Vietnam and giving aid and comfort to the enemy. She says in so many words, look here is the rich daughter of Henry Fonda thumbing her nose at American soldiers. What I did was wrong.
She also explains how she got to Vietnam and what happened there. She was sitting on a non-functional tank because she had sprained her ankle. Japanese photographers took her picture. The whole thing lasted about 2 minutes, she realized what she had done and asked the photographers for their film. They refused. The rest is history.
