Unemployed and poor people are not happy. However, like most things, there can be too much. When money is correlated with various happiness questions, there appears to a tipping point and more is not necessarily better.

What appears to be a strong correlate is a good marriage and good sex life. However, many economists disagree. A country should be run on economic growth, not happiness.
