HILLARY CLINTON AND ABORTION

Sullivan, Andrew (2005) Life lesson THE NEW REPUBLIC, 2, 7/ P.6

Senator Clinton wants to find some common ground on abortion. Except for the extremes, many in polls say “sometimes” to abortion. Republicans handle it better by
having a big tent. Democrats should do likewise.

Abortion is a moral tragedy and it is the balance of the female (mother) and unborn (fetus.) It is both moral and legal.

The most primary way to reduce abortion is to teach abstinence or abstinence plus in which students is taught birth control and health measures against disease.

Abortions should be safe, legal, and RARE. Can Republicans move toward birth control as Democrats move away from abortion on demand?

If Pro-choice wins completely abortions are many and unregistered. About 7% of the women who do not use birth control account for 53% of the abortions. On the other hand, if Pro-life wins completely, there are about 15,000 women who become pregnant through assault.

Abortion is both a moral and legal issue. Democrats should open their doors to pro-life voters. That is what Republicans do with pro-choice proponents.
