The Hill People of Turin are a small band of people who live in Loess Hills and are essentially

hunting and gathers. Perhaps no more than 20 people, they remain by themselves and

rarely go into the town of Turin. They live in the cold, kill whatever animals that they can

find and gather what ever vegetable that is edible. There is interbreeding and other

customs that have emerged. Most of the local social services and education agency have a quiet understanding that they should be left alone. A colleague of mine wanted to know more about the

group and decided to approach the tribe in a friendly manner. He was run off and out of the

location. Loess Hills is an extremely attractive area on the west coast of   Iowa. For the

most part it starts very roughly from Council Bluffs and heads northward to Siouxland, Sioux City. .
