For the Democrats to win, they have to stand for something that the average person can understand in 8 to 10 words. In the past, the party could not do that. It must be done in 2008.

Homeowners on the east and west coast can no longer get damage insurance for extreme

weather attacks. Insurance companies blame it on global warming and the profound

change in the severity of storms. Insurance can still be purchased but for absurd amounts. What is a homeowner to do?

CAMPO & THOMAS (48-59)

Children that are abducted are not likely to go to the law even if they are not imprisoned in an abductors home. Why? They have been told that no matter what they do, they or their family will be tortured and destroyed. Therefore, a stockholm syndrome kicks in. They feel that their lives

are at the bottom of existence. If the tormentor is good to them it feels as if they are being given their lives back which is a feeling not a rational consideration. If just one thing goes wrong in the escape, they can be tortured to death or their family can be hurt before law enforcement can step in.

BUSINESS WEEK (2007) 1/29

Corporations that head torn green activities are on the edge of a very successful time. Incentives and the population are moving toward green activities in both energy and the environment. There is money to be made. For the masses, they have begun to realize that carbon energy that is relative clean is finite. Thus, they will seek to support corporations that correspond in the same way. Or, they believe that the me ga-corporation are moving in that direction. You can make a lot of money, making money and doing good, even if you do not believe in global warming. Much should occur after the Bush Administration leaves office. The next president regardless of party will be green. How green they will be is subject to speculation.

General Motors and Ford lost out to Toyota and Honda because they delayed green activities. For 20 years, Detroit auto makers resisted hybrids and small cars with great mileage. They built more SUV's because they were popular and profitable. Toyota made room for gas huggers. Also GM

killed it's electric car. Ultimately, both hybrid and electric cars for now are not that much more economical, but when more nuclear reactors are built. less and less oil will be needed from middle east countries and their economic and political systems. Goal gasification can be profitable and now harm the environment to the extent of traditional coal fired plants.
