We won’t get clean coal for another 10 years, but there are 118 electoral votes riding on coal. Further, we have a lot of coal. There are damn good dirty jobs that can’t be outsourced. However, if clean coal comes through with sequestration (pump the heat back into the ground) America is in great shaped. When push comes to shove, energy independence transcends global warming.

So? With global warming, we get floods and unpredictable weather and droughts depending on the area. People move or even go in high dry places with underground protections. Many people in the poorest areas may die. However, the wealthy west and parts of the Middle East make a go of it and we move on.
