DON’T GO TO GRAD DOCTORAL SCHOOL
Butler, Carolyn (2005) The pressure mounts U.S. NEWS &WORLD REPORT, 4/11, 54-56.

For PhD school the flunk out rate is 70%. Universities need people with MA degrees to teach most of their classes. Suicide rates remain high and grad schools will probably not change their ways.

Grad students live in limbo and most suffer depression. Professors really don’t care for the students and relish destroying them as human beings. Mental health facilities are not adequate. It takes a life time to get over failing doctoral school. If you see a PhD, they are talented and have a tremendous reservoir of strength.
