CREATING A MARKET TO SELL HEAT AND POLLUTION CREDITS

Lavelle (2005) U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT, 8/1/ p.40-41

Richard Sandor has created a new market. He is trying to start or has started a market to create a venue where corporations can trade pollution credits.

A PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota, he is trying to use capitalism to reduce pollution and slow down global warming. It is not easy the administration is opposed to it and the CAP AND TRADE project has not had its hearing in the senate or the house. It has been overlooked because some in Congress do not acknowledge GLOBAL WARMING and the administration is of the same persuasion.

However, if there is a time when this position may change, the project is ready to go.
