CREDIT CARD TRICKS BLOOMBERG BUSINESS WEEK (2009)(1/4) 96 Here is the latest strategies to take your money used by the credit card companies.
VARIABLE RATE CARDS- This means as primary interest goes up then so does your credit car. However, if it goes down, your credit card should go down. However, there is a floor and that means it can get too low. Stay with fixed credit. PICK A RATE- What ever rate that you choose there will be more interest added on to be able to make a choice in the interest rate.
LOWER FEE THRESHOLDS- You have a 21 day grace period. Then you are whacked by a penalty. That penalty kicks in after $1,000 Now it is 250 dollars.
UNLIMITED FEES- There used to be a fee to help you change credit card companies. Now they have increased that fee.
INACTIVITY FEES- You don't use your card for a year. You still pay an INACTIVITY FEE. It can run as high as $36.00 a year.
HIROKOMO ET. AL. BOOSTING GROWTH WITH DAY CARE./96-08
Japan is trying to encourage young couples to have more children. The country wants more workers and consumers. So they are providing discount day care funds. The authors guess that this does not work. Women will probably have one child and a dog and be happy. Mom has a job to and one child is enough. |
