CLIMATEGATE DISPUTED

CLIMATE GATE DISPUTED

THE WEEK (2010)4/16/PAGE 6 the world  at a glance/ News

The United Kingdom established a committee empowered by the parliament of independent observers. CLIMATEGATE refers to a number of e-mails that were hacked from the University of  East  Anglia Climate Research Centre. The wording in the e-mails was misleading to the public the committee said. However, in reviewing the data, the "hockey stick" incline is not as pronounced, but it is real.

The overwhelming conclusion is that global warming is real. That humans

do uncover and burn fossil fuel   that increases the heat on the planet and falls within the consensus of those who supported Global Warming.

The data is open to observation by others. The parliamentary committee said that the East Anglia Climate Center behavior was shameful. That research must be open to the public and that future research should be transparent.

However, this announcement is buried in the news and most of the public may not see this report. This will not end the debate.
