CHECKLIST MANEFESTO THE WEEK (1/15) (2010) 41 David Lee Roth the one time rocker for VAN HALEN use to specify that there be no brown M& M's in a bowl provided for the band. Roth did not particularly like candy, but he knew if the set up crew missed that little insert they may have other problems. He was insistent that there were not any screw ups. Unlike most bands they had more trucks and stage equipment than many bands. Further, that meant that there should be a check list. CHECK LIST are so common and yet underused. THE RECESSION GENERATION FOR00HAR The generation that grew up in the 30's learned to be frugal, save, and were more egalitarian. The Boomers had it all. There could be many issues that are friendly to Hispanics like anti-abortion, and some other family issues. However, the Republican party still sends out vibes in one way or another that they are the party of White people. It does not have to be that way, but it appears at this time to be the general trajectory. Bloomberg BUSINESSWEEK (2010) 1/18 47-49 ENDLESS OIL/ REED People are now driving more cars that use less gas. Further, new strategies have emerged to create or find more oil.
