THE BLINK PRESIDENCY

Klein, Joe (2005) The blink presidency, TIME, 2/28, P.25

President Bush makes bold decisive moves, but fails to see the long term consequences. His bold moves are ones that attract voters as opposed to Kerry's tortured reasoning. However, once the election is over, we still have to live with budgets that don't balance and wars that may be ongoing into decades of fighting.

Fools rush in where wise men fear to tread. Bush knows how to win votes, but not wisely chose between options in the real politic of long term consequences.

The author borrows heavily from BLINK by Malcolm Gladwell.
