BIRD FLU INFORMATION

Individuals and groups at highest risk:
• Babies under 23 months
• Seniors over 65
• Seniors and others living in dorm like settings or residential homes
• People with long term heart disease, lung disease, asthma, kidney, diabetes, blood disorders
• Individuals with neuromuscular disorders
• Patients with weakened immune systems/ steroids consumers/ cancer patients on
• X-rays and drugs
• Kids under 18 taking aspirin on a long term basis

People who are most likely to spread the flu are:
*caretakers, medical personnel with highest contact of flu patients, travelers from other countries, and dorm members.


(*Bird Flu usually starts with fever.cough, sore throat, headache, chills, muscle aches, fatigue. This also applies to minor flu.)
