AVIAN FLU UPDATE

Both domestic and wild birds have been found to have the Avian flu. The latest locations are in Germany, France, and Italy. The UK expects to be next. 90 people have died from the flu.

Of the 90, it is believed the humans get the disease from the birds not other humans. If that is true, than we may have a good chance to survive. However, there is a legitimate fear that the virus will mutate so that humans can infect humans.

What can you do? First, buy surgical mask. Second, buy rubber gloves. Third, purchase food that has been pre-cooked in such things as soups. We have on hand numerous cans of low fat soup that has been pre-cooked and can be eaten cold if absolutely necessary. Additionally, we have purchased numerous cans of diet cola. It will not spoil and can carry us through the threat.

If a pandemic emerges, truckers begin to avoid hot spots that can contaminate them. Prepared food is transported by truck and train. Both may remain out of your region. However, many will come through because they are wearing the proper attire. Further, most survive pandemics. Last, many will get the disease and still survive in fine shape. In some instances the panic is worse than the disease.

The Avian flu has yet to be proven as a killer of human to human contact. However. all the precaution is necessary and wise. The last large killer flu STARTED in the states. Additionally, the Health department at first denied there was a problem and last very few that died wore the necessary cover over their faces until it was too late.

Please prepare, but don't panic. If necessary get your life and possessions

in order. Death is rapid. Get yourself right with a higher power.
