Kevin Phillips pioneered the "southern strategy" for Richard Nixon after 1968. It mainly took social problems of all kinds and coded the message about the threat of African Americans and Liberals in general to destroy America's greatness. It was an outstanding success. Phillips then weathered an identity and moral crisis and headed politically to the center. He is a moderate Republican.

AMERICAN THEOCRACY is an overview of America reaching out in an imperial overstretch of  numerous wars in pursuit of power and oil. He says that America is in serious decline in terms of debt and irrational discourse.What America is going through, other great powers have done the same as in the imperial phase in England.

Further, radical religion is stopping health and science research. It is an act of faith to say that the American Democratic party can change the nation. The Republican Party has a magnificent record of winning presidential elections especially since 1968 succeeding 7 out of 10 elections.
