What is going on? If the feds had to pay for everything in one year,
the total is 43 trillion dollars. American families are worth 47 trillion.
So, we have a problem. This conservative essayist and editor finds fault
with the Republicans.

His main message is that you can not cut taxes, increase spending and
expect to not have some huge shock in the future. We are running on empty.
What the public gets is not the whole story because many items are defined as
"off the books. So the debt and deficit look good, but the stats are cooked.
