10 THINGS YOUR TEEN SON WON’T TELL YOU
Donaldson, Doug (2005) 10 things that your teen son won’t tell
you
FAMILY/MSN.COM, 4/15
1. SEX Boys who turn to men have 20 times the testosterone of girls, but
that doesn’t mean that girls don’t think about sex a lot.
However, boys get easily aroused and they self pleasure themselves often
everyday. This of course is a problem with religion that frowns on such
activity. So, the teen stumbles through their youth. They age out at 25.
It can be a miserable time.
2. MONEY they need your money. They need money for clothes and a car
so that they can compete for a female.
3. CRAZY THINGS They are peer directed and do things that cause
lifetime injuries, death and dismemberment. At ten, little girls and boys
appear to be immortal, by the teens they start to die off. They also procreate.
They have adult bodies but the pre-fontal cortex does not completely develop.
That part of the brain looks at the big picture and helps in moral decisions.
The completion comes around 25.
4. SEX the thoughts can ruin concentration on studies. Much of humanity
were married by 12 and died in their late 30’s. Kids now don’t
marry until mid 20’s to 30. Thus they have sex, use birth control
or mutual
masturbation. They may be involved in oral sex. They may not get pregnant,
but they can get infected.
5. LOVE STINKS Teen love doesn’t last very long. So, one is out
looking again.
6. MOM & DAD they should keep their distance, but be there to back
the son.
7. UNREALISTIC GOALS They plan unusual occupations that are not likely
to happen.
8.AGGRESSION- alpha males will continually get into fights. They are
not pretty. When you look at the crowd gathered around the fight, you
get the urge to tear gas all of them.Beta males live in constant fear
of being picked on. They can either back down or get beat up. So they
are in a lose-lose situation. So, they get a gun or have a great sense
of humor.
9. PEERS become more important than parents.
10. SEX again. Ideally, they have a mate and the two struggle through.
You can encourage both of them that there really is life after high school
and college.
